JHS students participate in “Hero For Zero” Celebration

A select group of JHS students participated in the Hero for Zero celebration at JHS on Friday, March 30. The celebration included movies, games, food, fun activities, and several rounds of cornhole.  Students must have maintained an average GPA (As, Bs, and Cs) and have zero behavior referrals this school year in order to participate.  JHS Positive Behavior Support Coordinator Mark Felix and a dedicated team of teachers have been working tirelessly all year to plan exciting ways to celebrate and promote the best behavior from the students at JHS.  Students are constantly earning yellow and red tickets for displaying positive behavior, redeeming their tickets at the PRIDE store on a weekly basis, and ultimately receiving prizes and other incentives for good behavior.  As for the Hero For Zero celebration, students and teachers agree it was another excellent display of the hard work everyone is putting in to promote PRIDE at JHS.
